23Jul09

In this 6-part lecture recorded in 1984, Mary Alinder not only shows Ansel Adams as his family and friends knew him, but also offers rare insights on his work as a photographer.

Mary Street Alinder is the biographer of Ansel Adams and an authority on 20th century photography. From 1979 until his death in 1984, Alinder worked as the chief assistant to Ansel Adams.

  1. Hi,

Does 8/19/09 mean August 19, 2009? If so when is the next Ansel Adams, the Development of a Vision (part 5/6) going to be added? Today is August 21, 2009 and I cannot find the new podcast.

Thank you for the very informative podcasts and the effort to make this history available to all photography enthusiasts. I look forward to visiting your museum someday. The last time I was in San Diego was before you opened in 1983.

  2. Thanks Byron! We really appreciate your support!
